"Home of The Swamp Dumpers" Got DUMP? One of the mods most commonly done to cars here in Gainesville is simply called DUMP. You either got it or you don't. If you don't you are a toolset. What we are talking of here is the external venting of either an internal or external wastegate to the atmosphere. Once I heard it on a car locally I went down to the muffler shop and had my 3" dp modded for DUMP. I don't know how I lived without it. DUMP is great for scaring the hell out of the rest of the driving world. Making girls scream or frat boys quiver in fear. One of the funnest things to do with DUMP is called Swamp DUMPING.
DUMP to Atmostphere Notice the HKS external wastegate.			Across the 4 lane road on the North end of The University of Florida is a restaurant properly named "The Swamp". The perfect scenario for the very crowded open aired restaurant is this: Friday night, 1am, Swamp is packed. The street is covered in drunk idiots that call themselves the future leaders of the world. Four DSM's, 2 in front, 2 bringing up the rear, are hoping to get the light in front of "The Swamp". It's red, ah yeah time for DUMP, the 2 AWD's are in front and they stage at 4500rpm slip it dirty and don't shift until it bangs off the rev limiter at least 19 times.
By the time they are 40' ahead all the patrons of the Swamp are pumping thier fists in the air. The FWD's come through next with a fericious sound of DUMP and spinning tires. About 20 yards in front of the group in the Purple Porpoise a crowded bar with cars parked in the street. Do we let off? Na lets give them alittle DUMP!! Passing the Porpoise we are doing 85mph just 8" away from parked cars, fine chicks, and proud Mustang owners saying, "They have nothin". Now lets dip there has to be some cops around. Won't you come DUMP with me? Street Racing I have had my share of street races. I have raced C5 Vettes, NSX, Type R Integra, Mustangs, Camaros, wanna be Silvia's and Firebirds. To this day I can say that I haven't been beat yet.....but I am going racing tonight stay tuned. Recent street racing bust here in S. Fla. 172 people arrested, as FHP blocked off roads in and out of the area. Scary huh?			Launching a FWD The guys above pull helatious 1.4 60'on a FWD and have given me great pointers. I run slicks and an ACT 2600 Clutch. I have found that for the best launch you want to stage early, bring the revs to 4000rpm, as you let out the clutch (not fast), give it the equal amount of gas. If the tires spin don't let completely off as you will never regain your momentum. You then hit 2nd hard and so on. I have found that even though my tires are spinning I will stay even with cars such as turboed AWD Imprezzas. My best 60' to date has been an 1.752, thats good enough for 4th fastest FWD!! I am experimenting with the PMS stutter box and will keep you posted.
			Tractionless VS. 300ZX TT My car at this point had only 3" turbo back exhaust, boost at 24psi, and race gas. At that point it was good for 14.4@104 with only a 2.6 60'.
